Screenings and Assessments:
We are able to provide you with information about your child's speech
and language development. We attempt to provide a thorough evaluation
that is tailored for your child's specific needs. We use, but are not
limited to, standardized assessment tools. We also use play, language
sampling, class and homework sampling, observation, and interviews with
both parents and teachers.
Consultation:
Consultation is provided as requested. We are happy to talk with
teachers and other school personnel about your child's needs. We are
also available to prepare reports for and attend individual education
plan (IEP) and transition meetings. In addition, we can provide
assistance in curriculum modification and adaptation on an as-needed
basis.
Treatment and Remediation:
We tailor our treatment sessions to best engage your child. We pride
ourselves on working hard but also making the experience enjoyable for
the child. We have a variety of fun and colorful educational toys and
books as well as considerable amounts of higher level (middle and high
school) material. Treatment is always conducted in accordance
with previously agreed upon goals and objectives.
